In hair transplantation, this word is used to describe the hair follicle and its surrounding tissue. In other words, it’s the core in which there may be 1, 2, 3 or even 4 hair. This forms a graft.
What is the donor area?
The donor area is the part of the body behind the head and above the ears. This area is designed never to fall off. That’s why the grafts are taken from this area. In some cases, the beard hair below the chin forms a donor area as well.
Where are the grafts placed?
The grafts are harvested from the donor area and implanted.
How are grafts harvested?
The grafts are harvested one by one using a micromotor with a rotating tip. Operated by a specialist, the tool reaches under the skin to retrieve the graft bulb. It is then harvested with tweezers.
How are grafts implanted?
There are two different ways to implant the grafts: – By placing the grafts in the canals that are opened with the saphire tool. Or directly with the choi.
What is SAPHIRE FUE?
It’s a procedure where the canals are first opened with the saphire tip. The grafts are then placed into the canals using tweezers.
What is DHI?
This is a direct implantation method with no intermediate steps because the Choi pen (used in this method) opens the canal and pushes the graft in at the same time.

Is the procedure painful?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so it’s completely painless. You will feel a tingling sensation as the anesthetic is injected for two to three minutes before it takes effect.

Can women have hair transplants?

Can I have a hair transplant without shaving?
